$70 seems a bit steep for some of the most re-packaged games out there. If you just want to get a large collection of genesis games at least wait till you find it on sale. So if you see only a few games you want there, go with the individual collections. Also they've released a new collection (volume 5) which isn't in the gold collection (according to their site). So yeah $70 is a bit much for such a bundle considering they've been pushing out bundles with the same content for over 10 years now. No clue how SC-Wholesale is, but that's a 3rd party seller on amazon uk selling the gold collection for £4 ( around $7). Steam versions of these collections exclude Sonic the Hedgehog and ToeJam & Earl games. The former can be purchased as a part of Sonic-related compilations and all games can be purchased separately but at higher prices. When I got around to getting an XBox for large screen gaming, it wasn't really available anywhere around and considering I'd already got the mega drive collection 1-4 on Steam (which seems to be the exact content of the gold collection) I didn't really bother with tracking it down. Also I'm rather certain it's just a collection of the Sega Classic collections 1-5 with maybe a few extras? And the content of that has been released so often it's likely not that big a deal to get unless you haven't got any of them.īack before I got an Xbox 360 this was released qid=1359798116&sr=8-1
